Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Flowers & Fun Stampers Journey Basket Weave Rubber Stamp

This card was made by using the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge to cut the flowers while the leaves were from the Accent Essentials Cartridge. I used the Basket Weave stamp from Fun Stampers Journey on the background and the sentiment is an older Inkadinkado stamp. Just for fun I inked up the top part of the stamp in purple and green on the bottom.  To add a little shine to this card I used Glossy Accents on the yellow centers of the flowers.

Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Flowers & Martha Stewart Border Punch

This card was made using the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook  cartridge for the flowers, the Martha Stewart "Arch Lattice" Edge Punch, papers by Recollections, and the sentiment stamp is from Penny Black (an old one dated 2003.)

My Minds Eye Moments

This card was made from a My Minds Eye 6x6 Paper Pad called Moments. The sentiment is an old Penny Black rubber stamp mounted on wood from 2003.

Our Daily Bread Designs Sentiments Collection 2

I love this set of sentiments from Our Daily Bread Designs.  It is called Sentiments Collection 2 and there are 5 different stamps to this set. I was trying to create a very simple card here with some papers that remind me of America...ginghams, stars, red, white & blue.

This card is full of color! 

I started by cutting squares in the colors of a rainbow (1 1/16th inch squares) and I arranged them on the card.  I used Aleene's Tacky Glue as the adhesive because using an ATG on these squares means the needle will drag through the holes when stitching, picking up tape adhesive along the way and slowing down the stitching process....so tacky glue is better and works when using heavy card stock.

 *However, remember to press your card while it is drying (before stitching) by putting it under something heavy or it will be bumpy.  I have a huge hard-back cook book for this process (because who has time to cook when there are cards to be made?)

After using my favorite piercing tool to poke holes around every square, I stitched around the card with several threads....an Omega brand thread of variegated primary colors (sorry I do not have a name for the color since it was gifted to me by another crafter from her stash) and two DMC threads to get the deep purple and the green.

When I was inking the stamp I carefully used rainbow colors starting in the middle with the yellow and building on each side, going down with the green, blue, and purple, and going up with the orange and red. There probably is an ink pad out there that would work for this (please leave me a link in the comments if you know of one!) Thank you!

This patchwork card design is the one I make whenever my scrap pile is getting too large, or whenever my "Mojo" is missing. I don't have to think when making this kind of card and I enjoy seeing what kinds of colors and patterns of paper I can use together.

Hero Arts Operation Write Home Sentiment

Just a little patchwork card using up scraps from all the flower cards. The papers are from Recollections (the multi-packs from Michael's) and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set that benefits Operation Write Home.  I also added a little ribbon and some bling for a little sparkle.

Here is another card using the Our Daily Bread Designs Sentiments Collection 2.  I used all the papers in my scrap stash that had yellow, black, and white on them.  The frame was made from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge.
