ODBD Log Cabin Quilt & ODBD Quilted With Love

Hello everyone!

Today's card was made for the ODBD SLC#273 Challenge using items from Our Daily Bread Designs April new releases. The challenge is to use the O-D-B-D recipe.

You can find details about the challenge here:

The recipe I used is:
O-Our Daily Bread Designs Stamp
D-Die Cuts (ODBD Beautiful Borders)
B-Bow
D-Double Stitched Squares Die from ODBD

I stamped the ODBD Log Cabin Quilt Stamp using Desert Sand Memento Ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noir.  I chose pastel colors so that I could stamp a sentiment from ODBD Quilted With Love Stamp Set right on it.

I used the ODBD Double Stitched Squares  die to cut out the quilt and used ODBD Beautiful Borders on top and below. I wanted some extra detail on the sides of my quilt so I die cut one of the ODBD Filigree Frames and cut it down to the size I needed.

ODBD Quilted With Love & Americana Quilt Collection

Hello Everyone!

Today's card was made using the Our Daily Bread Designs Quilted With Love Stamp Set, the ODBD Log Cabin Die, the ODBD Americana Quilt Collection papers, ODBD Filigree Frames, and ODBD Pretty Posies Die Set

I love putting paper together to look like a quilt (since I can not sew a straight line to make a real one) so I used the ODBD Log Cabin Die and cut out a bunch of pieces using all the scraps I had after a weekend of card-making.  I literally took multiple scraps at one time, taped them in place over the die, and ran it through my die cut machine to get a bunch of pieces. I then set to work arranging them on a card stock base. I did not follow any real pattern at all, I just put the pieces where they would fit and only had to trim a couple pieces slightly.

The sentiment is stamped with Black Memento Ink and heat embossed with extra fine embossing powder.  I used a little dimensional adhesive tape under the sentiment frame, added the posies and tucked a thin ribbon up under them.

Our Daily Bread Designs The Good Seed

Hello everyone!

Today's card has been made using Our Daily Bread Designs The Good Seed rubber stamp set and ODBD's "Blooming Garden" paper pack. It is really starting to feel like Spring and this flower pot with tools in it motivates me to get outside and do some gardening.

After stamping and heat embossing the image I colored it with Spectrum Noir. I then used Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Circles to cut it out and add some layers. I used a Tri-Fold Shutter Card pattern I found on line just so I could have some extra fun with these garden papers.

I used ODBD's Bitty Blossoms and Lovely Leaves Dies to cut a couple flowers and then added a little blank square for a pick-me-up message for a friend.

Our Daily Bread Designs April 2016 New Releases- Quilts!

Hello everyone!

Today's cards have been created using Our Daily Bread Designs newest
goodies for April and they all are quilt themed!!!

This first card was made using the new ODBD Star Quilt Stamp and ODBD Quilted With Love Stamp Set.   I also used the ODBD Small Bow Die, ODBD Beautiful Borders Die, ODBD Double Stitched Squares Die  and ODBD Squares Die .  This beautiful paper is from the
ODBD Cozy Quilt Collection

To make the little lace around the square I took one of the Beautiful Border dies and cut it down to fit. I added little die cut hearts to the corners where the pieces met up.   I stamped the quilt in "Rhubarb Stalk" Memento Ink (it is a reddish color) and colored it up with Spectrum Noir.

You can find the ODBD Blog here for more information:

This second card was made using ODBD Log Cabin Quilt Die, the ODBD Quilted With Love Stamp Set and the ODBD Americana Quilt Collection.

I die cut three of the Americana Quilt papers and then die cut a forth one from Bazzill Diamond card stock for the frame. I used a few pieces from each of the Americana Quilt papers to make a little pattern (and all the extra pieces are being used to make more quilts for cards.)

To put the quilt together I covered a piece of regular white card stock with ATG and then put the frame down first. I was then able to lay in all of the other pieces right onto the
sticky ATG inside the frame.

I also used the ODBD Beautiful Borders Die, ODBD Ornate Hearts Die (for the little heart), and the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangles
