Our Daily Bread Designs Soulful Stitches Collection

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today's card was created using the Our Daily Bread Designs "Soulful Stitches Collection" paper pack. This paper pack is full of soft colors and pretty images.

I selected one of the papers that had this rocking chair on it, die cut it out using the ODBD Circles, then layered it up with more circles die cut with the ODBD Double Stitched Circles.  I then used the ODBD Double Stitched Rectangles for the base and added a sentiment from the ODBD Thank You Sentiments stamp set.  I also used some dimensional adhesive under the circles and the sentiment.

You can barely see it, but I added a border along the bottom using a ODBD Beautiful Borders die.
I cut it from the same paper as the background because I just wanted a little extra detail, but it is hard to see in the photo.

Our Daily Bread Designs "Keys to Happiness" Gate Fold Card

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share this gate-fold style card with you today. I created it using Our Daily Bread Designs "Keys to Happiness" stamp set, the ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies, ODBD Lovely Leaves Dies, the ODBD Keys dies, and the ODBD Double Stitched Circles.  I used one of my favorite paper packs from Our Daily Bread Designs called "Rustic Beauty Collection."

Our Daily Bread Designs Keys dies are so detailed and they have a key ring die included, so I just had to try to make a little key ring of these beauties.  I cut them from heavy card stock, inked them up with some bronze and gold, and then heat embossed the front and the back to make them
shiny and sturdier.

I placed a blank panel on the inside of the card so there is enough room to write a little note to the recipient of this card.

ODBD March New Releases "Key to Happiness" & "Superstar"

Hello everyone! I am so excited to be a guest design team member for
Our Daily Bread Designs this month.

Our Daily Bread Designs is releasing two new stamp sets today! This first card above was made using the "Keys to Happiness" set.  There are five sentiments in this set and each one shares
a great little bit of wisdom.

The circles were cut using Our Daily Bread Design's "Double Stitched Circles" and "Circles" dies.  These two sets work great together for when you want to alternate a regular circle with a detailed, stitched one.

I also used ODBD's "Lovely Leaves" die set, the ODBD "Bitty Blossoms Dies" set, the ODBD "Keys" die, and the ODBD "Blushing Rose Collection" papers.   I did some inlay work in the squares using the "Bitty Blossoms" dies because they are the perfect size for this (less than one inch each.)

This second card was made using the new ODBD "Superstar" stamp set.  I created the background by stamping the three different stars included in the set, die cut the panel with the "Double Stitched Rectangles" die and the star using "Double Stitched Stars", added some "Beautiful Borders", and used ODBD's "Pastel Paper Pack" papers for it all.

ODBDSLC270 Monthly Challenge-February

Hello everyone!
Each month Our Daily Bread designs offers a challenge to crafters. This month's challenge is to create a card using the sketch they provide.

Here is the sketch:

This card was so fun to make, I think because I loved the paper I was working with.  ODBd papers are thicker than many other patterned papers and this makes die cutting so much easier. Thin papers tear so easily when coming out of the dies.

I used a little dimensional adhesive under the center sentiment ovals to help offset the dimension of the bow when it goes through the post office. I also used a Zig Wink of Stella Clear pen to add a little shimmer to the red brads.

I did a double row of the ribbon when one was just not enough and I added the crocheted border die on the edges for the fun of it (because everything is better with a crochet trim, right?)

I made two of these using the Heart and Soul papers because with Valentine's Day right around the corner, I know I will use them.

Supplies used:

Our Daily Bread designs "Crocheted Border Die" (sorry, I can not find a link, it might be retired.)
Spellbinders Opulent Ovals
My Favorite Things Die-namics STAX Ovals #1
Red & White Card Stock
White Grosgrain Ribbon
Red brads topped with Zig "Wink of Stella" in Clear
Ranger Distress Ink "Fired Brick"
Extra Fine Clear Embossing Powder
EK Success 1" Corner Rounder

Patchwork Greeting Cards by Melissa T.

Hello everyone!

I had so many scraps after months of crafting that it was time for a whole
new batch of patchwork cards.

First, I gathered up all of the papers I thought looked good together.
Then I cut them down to 1 1/16" squares.

Arrange them onto card stock with tacky glue (not ATG for these, ATG makes the needle drag through the holes while stitching.) I was able to make 19 cards with these scraps.

Here are some of the finished cards all packaged up
with envelopes for sale at a little holiday boutique.

This last card was my favorite because I was able to add a bit of hand-crocheted trim
made by my mother, Jean Ness.

I colored the thread I used to stitch around these cards so that it would match perfectly. It is Omega Cotton Pearl thread in white and I used Spectrum Noir markers to make my own variegated thread.

To color your own thread just wrap a large amount around a tube of your choice and color (a piece of plumbing conduit pipe works great for this.)  Or if possible, leave it on the spool and color it directly (I am able to leave mine on the Omega spool.)
