Our Daily Bread Designs/OWH November Challenge- Hearts

Hello everyone! This month's Our Daily Bread Designs challenge with Operation Write Home is to make a card with hearts on it. You can find details about the challenge here:

I made this card by using my Cricut to cut a heart in white card stock and then filling the space with thread scraps.

After cutting the heart, I selected a smaller piece of card stock that when covered would fill in the heart space.   I covered that small piece of card stock with ATG adhesive, and then laid each piece of thread onto the adhesive. I chose several different types of thread to get a little texture to the heart (DMC thread, Omega thread, and "craft thread" from Michaels.) I cut out two more hearts and stamped the sentiment on one and covered it with Glossy Accents to give it a little shine.

I used Memento Inks to color the edges of the hearts and the frame and layered it on deep red card stock.

Thank you for stopping by!

  4. It must have taken quite a lot of time to use all those threads, but it has a fantastic look and it was so worth it! Beautiful heart card!

    1. Thank you! Yes, it did take a good 20 minutes to lay the threads down, but I was watching a video while crafting so it went quickly. :)
