Paper Trey Ink Make It Monday #119:Flagged Borders

Hello everyone!

I created this card for Paper Trey Ink's Make It Monday project. The requirements were to use one Paper Trey Ink product and a "flagged border." Here is a link to their awesome video tutorial on flagged borders:

I used Paper Trey Ink's "Honey Bees" Clear Stamp Set (Vol. 2  NO. 19) to stamp out the sentiment and the little bee. Then I used papers from a 6x6 pad from My Minds Eye called "Breeze" (there is another "Breeze" set of different colors out there, but this one had yellow, black, white, and grey printed papers.)  After cutting all the little flags I then cut a little black scallop border using a Cricut cartridge called Elegant Edges (using the "border" feature.)

I decided to give my bee a little flight trail so I used a piercing tool to poke holes and then stitched in some black embroidery thread to create the trail.  When I had thread left on the needle at the end of the trail I then decided to stitch around the whole outside of the card (more hole punching).

Every card needs a little bling so I attached three little gems in the corner and for a little shine I added some Glossy Accents to the large black polka dot paper.

I think it looks a bit busy with all the patterned paper, but I like it!
