Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share a card I made using some hand-crocheted trim my mother made for me. My mom, Jean Ness, has been an avid crocheter for most of her life and comes up with fabulous projects using the smallest of threads and needles. She made about a yard of this trim for me to use for my card-making projects. In order to use just a small bit of it without the rest unraveling, I apply some Alene's Tacky Glue to about a half inch of the thread right where I want to cut it. Once it dries I am able to cut it without risking unraveling.
This card was made using little one inch squares of designer papers and the sentiment is from a Mama Elephant set called "In My Heart."
Thank you for stopping by!

I saw your wonderful cards on the FFCM @ OWH and had to go on a quest for this one. These pieced/ stitched quilt cards you do are fantastic. Is there a tutorial on how to do them step-by step?
ReplyDeleteThank you Tami! There is a little how-to written tutorial on OWH that can be found here: http://operationwritehome.org/tutorial-patchwork-squares/
DeleteI wish I had the skills to make a video, maybe someday.......
Thank you again!
Here is another written "how-to" here on my blog:
