Happy Sketch Sunday everyone!
Operation Write Home offers a sketch each week for everyone to try. You can find details about the sketch here:
I created this card using Mickey Mouse paper from Sandy Lion (found at Michael's), black and yellow card stock, and some Bazzill Dotted Swiss in a deep red color called Phoenix.
The border punch is Martha Stewart's Arch Lattice and the Mickey Mouse punch is from All Night Media purchased years ago (possibly at Disneyland?) After punching the Mickey out I lined him with white card stock, added a little red polka dot ribbon, and set him on dimensional adhesive. I added two little yellow brads in the upper corners as well.
The sentiment stamp is an oldie found on Ebay from Alias Smith & Rowe called "Happy Day". I stamped it with Tim Holtz Fired Brick ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Thank you for stopping by!

Totally fun card. Love the Mickey ribbon accent! Way to use your punch!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! :)
DeleteIt's the Happiest Card on Earth! What a bright, fun card! I especially love the way you used the dotted paper, then popped it even more with those two yellow brads! I've looked at that border punch before but don't remember seeing it on a card, so I never caved in and bought it. Now I will, because it's really nice. Oh! The polka dots on the Mickey punch circle are also perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you JoAnn! :)
