"A Friendly Light" Stamps Happen, Inc. & Farm House Paper Company "Fair Skies"

I created this card for Operation Write Home using an older stamp from Stamps Happen, Inc. called "A Friendly Light" from the artist D. Morgan.  To make this card fit the required dimensions for OWH, I did have to cut off the top part of the stamp that has more sea gulls and the words "A Friendly Light" (the stamp image itself is 5 1/2 inches otherwise.)

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers using BG1, BG2, BG5, BGR2, BGR3, TB1, TB3, TB5, CR9, DR2, DG2, IG1, EB1 and the Blender marker to lighten the EB1 on the sand.

All of the papers are from a 6x6 paper pad from the Farm House Paper Company called "Fair Skies". I love this little paper pad set because the papers are red, navy, and vintage looking with maps, music notes, post cards, and the script one I used on the middle banner.

The little flags were made by cutting one of the sheets from the "Fair Skies" paper pad. It had rows of these triangles all ready on it so I just selected the ones I wanted to use and cut them out. I mounted them on a little white cotton thread, popped them on dimensional adhesive and stitched around the edge of the card.

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts "Operation Write Home Fundraiser" stamp set and I used Tim Holtz Red Brick ink to distress the edges.
