Hello everyone! Each month Our Daily Bread Designs hosts a challenge for Operation Write Home. If 50 or more card makers participate in this challenge, ODBD will pay to send two boxes of OWH greeting cards to our deployed military personnel. You can find details about the challenge here: ODBD/OWH Challenge This month"s challenge is to use "stripes" on your creation. I used my "Arch Lattice" border punch by Martha Stewart to create my stripes and I punched them all out of white card stock. I then used my ink distressing tool to color them up in shades of blue, green and orange. So this whole card was made using only white card stock and ink. :) I used a sentiment from one of my favorite Our Daily Bread Designs sets called "Sentiments Collection 2" and you can find it here: Our Daily Bread Designs The ovals were cut from a Cricut Cartridge and the larger one was colored with the same green ink used to distress the lattice edges. I popped them on some dimensional adhesive to make them stand out a bit. Inks used: Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion in Kiwi Slice and Orange Slice. Recollections Dye Ink pad in Marine Thank you for stopping by! :) |

I never thought to use the arch lattice punch quite like this, but it looks wonderful! Very colorful and fun, plus it gives that punch a whole new life! TFS!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carol! It was Sandy Allnoch's idea, she shared it in a tutorial some time ago. :)
